While born in Santa Clara, Michael spent the majority of his childhood in Davis, California, where he learned to play soccer at Davis Legacy and fell in love with the game. Michael spent a few years in Ireland in middle school but returned to the States to play for Stanford and has stayed in California ever since!
As a player, Michael loved to compete and how the game is a fluid, with so many different ways to win. Whether in his youth career at Davis Legacy or in his collegiate career at Stanford (4 Year Starter, 3 Time Captain, 2 Time 1st Team All Pac-10), he loved being with friends on the field, building bonds, and life time relationships.
As a coach, Michael loves to give back to players and the community what he received as a player. He loves to grow an individual's abilities, self-confidence, creativity, and love of the game. Michael loves to watch his team win, enjoy themselves, and laugh a bit as soccer is meant to be enjoyed with a smile.
Michael is a father of two and spends most of his time with his family. He chose Magic to coach in his community where he may run into players at the local park or farmers market. Michael wants the community to grow stronger through sport.
