Background

Ryan is originally from a small town called Worksop in Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom. He grew in Worksop and Milton Keynes. Ryan first started coaching on the East Coast in New England in 2014 before moving to the Bay Area in 2017 where he has continued his career.

As a coach, Ryan loves sharing his passion and enthusiasm for the game with players and watching them learn to love the game. Ryan enjoys celebrating the little wins with a group and the rollercoaster that competition brings. 

From playing at an early age to this stage in his coaching career, the game has helped Ryan make friends, gain confidence and many life skills.

On joining Magic, Ryan said, "after being in the Bay for more than seven years, Magic's reputation precedes them both in terms of their playing style on the field & the individual development of each player. They take pride in what they do and are always looking to be better."

When not coaching, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife whether thats trying new restaurants in the Bay Area or hiking one of the many trails. He also enjoys reading and watching other sports such as basketball and 'football."
